Working with Legend, Car and Commercial transformed its conversion process by significantly reducing vehicle weight while improving installation speed and overall quality. By replacing traditional 18mm plywood floors and bulkheads with a complete Legend lining kit, the team achieved a full conversion weight of approximately 195kg—saving almost 180kg compared to the previous build. The precision-engineered kits fit straight out of the box, reducing installation time by around a day and allowing the team to complete an additional vehicle each week without increasing labour. The lighter conversion also gives operators greater payload capacity, with the potential to carry an extra passenger or increase usable load space, while the modern finish, insulated headliners and durable materials improve both driver experience and end-of-life resale value.
